Health Initiative Info

SEWA-AIFW is dedicated to improving the physical and mental health of all people in the Asian-Indian community. Through SEWA’s Health Initiative program, members of the Asian-Indian community can access help with all their health needs.

  • SEWA-AIFW holds minute clinics at a variety of community locations. At these minute clinics, culturally sensitive, volunteer doctors complete preliminary screenings and provide referrals and health resources to participants.

  • Through SEWA-AIFW’s 24 hour crisis line, callers will be linked to Indian social workers and psychologists to aid with mental health concerns.

  • Advocates are also available Monday through Friday from 9:00-1:00 or by appointment, to provide resources and referrals for a variety of services, including free and low cost health clinics, free counseling centers, and free or low cost mental health services, as well as many more depending on your needs.

Upcoming Health Initiative Events: Sunday February 10th: Health and Legal Clinic, held at the Hindu Temple of Minnesota from 11:00-2:00. Check out the Events calendar for more information.
