Refugee Programs

  • Driving lesson / cultural orientation.
  • Pre-CNA help for the youth / help with resume making.
  • Seniors program / referrals to ESL class, referrals to pregnancy care to young Bhutanese refugee ladies, referrals to vocational training center.
  • Donations of cloths and food/computer
  • Health fair (once in a month).

History

Bhutanese refugee are from Bhutan. They became refugee at late 1980's. They were in Refugee camps for 18 years. US government decided to bring 60.000 refugee to US. Refugees are settled in different states. Minnesota has around 120 Bhutanese refugees and we are expecting more in near future.
