Asian-Indian Elder’s Program

SEWA-AIFW is committed to promoting the total wellness of all members of the family, including our elders. SEWA-AIFW understands the challenges that Asian-Indian senior citizens face due to living in the United States, and has a variety of services aimed at helping Asian-Indian senior citizens live comfortable and healthy lives in Minnesota.

  • SEWA strives to reduce the social isolation of elders in our community.
    • SEWA hosts monthly meetings with our elders to determine their needs for services, as well as hosts social and educational gatherings for our elders on a monthly basis.

    • SEWA volunteers are available to transport elders to various religious and community events.

    • SEWA volunteers are also available to make house visits and provide transportation for seniors to go grocery shopping or to appointments.

  • SEWA-AIFW provides referrals and links to:

    • Essential health and educational services

    • Essential community and county services and resources for issues including:

      • Abuse in later life
      • Continuing education
